Description

Paradise Park Children's Centre is the first full-scale realisation of the green-wall system. Here, the system was customised to three facades, so as to integrate the building with its landscape.

Paradise Park benefits from the use of natural daylight and ventilation, recycled rainwater, 'brown' roof covering and 'green' planted walls. It is a two storeys high facility with a nursery and cafe to the ground floor, and office and community services to the first floor.

The outflow from the gutters below the green wall and the rainwater from the flat roof are directed to a harvesting tank and recycled via a pump system to irrigate the green walls.
