Description

The works on the Star School comprise of a new single storey building for the reception, year 1 and year 2 classes. A new plant room was also formed to service the extension.

The construction was piled foundations with a glulam timber frame in filled externally with brick and timber faced block work over an insulated stud inner construction. The roof was a standing seam curved Rheinzinc front section and Sarnafil covered flat roof to the rear.

Alterations also took place to the existing occupied school including new incoming services, a new playground with equipment and soft surfacing and perimeter landscaping works.

The works are undertaken under the JCT 1998 form of contract with contractors design portion.
