Allenbuild Ltd fully embraces the Supply Chain ethos and has done so over many years.

Allenbuild has a proven track history of approved/preferred subcontractors and suppliers that can be traced back over the past 10 years.

Over recent years the Allenbuild Supply Chain has developed so that it is now an integral part of our business. The supply chain is very actively involved in transforming raw material into a finished product. In its function it includes the support of planning, design, purchasing, logistics, construction and maintenance.

Supply chain management allows all parties to be involved in the project from an early stage, allowing a collaboration of effort and special skills knowledge. The responsibility for successful completion of a project is collective and where appropriate the rewards are shared.

Long-term supply chain relationships allow the parties to build on their experiences and seek ways of improving the quality and efficiency of their work. The focus is on delivering value for our Clients.

In dealing with our Supply Chain we at Allenbuild:

  • Treat our Supply Chain as an integral part of our business.
  • Increasingly work with our Supply Chain and their suppliers to provide our Customers with the most innovative and best value service that meet their needs.
  • Build and develop enduring, trusting, high quality and long-term relationships which includes making payments within agreed terms.

We have developed a list of Preferred Subcontractors and Suppliers in 'Key Trades'. These contractors are used whenever possible.

As part of our Supply Chain, a 'Strategic Alliance' of our building services partners has been formed with the aim of bringing together shared knowledge, skilled labour, resources and technology to enhance performance. We are currently reviewing other trades where it may be suitable to set up alliances.

We have adopted a Risk/Value approach to establish the 'best' form of relationship for each subcontractor or supplier, evaluated constantly, first on a whole company basis and then on a project-by-project basis.

All Preferred Suppliers must meet our criteria in respect of:

  • Safety and Workforce Competencies
  • Financial Stability
  • Quality
  • Environmental Issues
  • Risk Management
  • Commercial Performance
